Today our team visited the National Security Exhibition

Today our team visited the National Security Exhibition. This is becoming an annual tradition with our upcoming visit to mark this week’s July 1 reunification celebrations.

The exhibition offers a rare opportunity to step outside our daily work and reflect on the broader structures that underpin social order. It is also a reminder that national security is not an abstract concept. It is a framework that shapes the environment in which we carry out our mission of supporting refugees through legal guidance, mental health care, and welfare assistance.

Understanding the principles of national security helps us appreciate the government’s role in providing protection to all. It also deepens our awareness of the challenges faced by those who arrive seeking asylum, often from places where social order has broken down. Our annual visit is therefore both a gesture of respect and a moment of reflection. It reminds us that our work is connected to the wider fabric of society, and that by supporting refugees, we contribute to a more secure and compassionate Hong Kong.
