Asylum Services & Knowledge
Championing fairness. Rebuilding Lives.
We are Hong Kong’s first dedicated community legal centre for refugees and asylum seekers
supporting people to regain agency, secure legal protection and rebuild lives since 2007
Every day, people arrive in Hong Kong fleeing conflict, persecution, and violence. Seeking protection for yourself and your family is life-altering - but it shouldn’t define your future.
Everyone deserves a fair chance at a safe, decent life. Our experienced team delivers high-quality services to people seeking protection - while building technical expertise among Hong Kong practitioners.

Programmes & Services
-
We provide direct services to refugees, asylum seekers and other forced migrants in Hong Kong SAR. Our holistic services enable timely, responsive access to information, representation, counselling, and social welfare.
-
We offer CPD-accredited training and technical assistance to lawyers handling non-refoulement cases. We also offer professional development opportunities to mental health practitioners, interpreters, and other professionals supporting refugees and asylum seekers.
-
We support and work in partnership with Humanity Seekers, an initiative founded and led by a core group of refugees and asylum seekers in Hong Kong. We also run a community leadership programme for refugee youths, and train and partner with refugee paralegals to deliver community legal education.

“I tried to prepare and fight for my case... but I couldn’t do it alone. Then I found Justice Centre. They helped me to prepare my care to give me a better chance of being understood. When I heard that my case had been accepted I thought it was a dream. I’m so thankful to Justice Centre for fighting for our protection. Now we can go on to plan our futures and live our lives like everyone else.”
Make an Impact
Requests for our support are growing faster than we can respond. More people are being displaced globally than ever before, yet resources for legal and psychosocial care in Hong Kong are shrinking. Your donation allows us to reach more people on our waitlist and support them in rebuilding their lives.
